Jessica is the Director of Nursing Practice for the Ohio Nurses Association. Her nursing experience in the fast paced emergency department allowed her to comfort those during the darkest times of their lives. Now, as a nursing professional development practitioner, she shares her experiences with nurses everywhere. She is a graduate of Ohio University and Capella University.
A childhood passion turned into a freelancing career. Jessica currently writes for various outlets in the healthcare space, including American Nurse Today, Ohio Nurse, and Ohio Nurses Review. She is a member and contributing writer for the Healthcare Marketing Network. Her services include online marketing content, blog posts, print articles, and continuing education activities.
She turned a trauma into triumph and is currently working on her first manuscript.
Jessica’s “Mom Squad” consists of two dogs who are her full-time cheerleaders and sounding boards. Their editing skills are lacking, but they sure do know how to lay their heads on a keyboard to increase that word count goal. Jax, the Australian Cattle Dog, made Jessica a believer in “who rescued who?” and Opie, the Chesapeake Bay Retriever, has a bigger social media following than his mom.
